NZFF: This Must Be the Place

I never expected to see Sean Penn looking this: a retired glam rocker with black hair like a big bird's nest and sad eyes framed with a LOT of eyeliner.

Faced with his father's impending death, Cheyenne embarks on a road trip of the USA, trying to locate a Nazi war criminal. It sounds like the sad, 80's version of On the Road. The hopeless and lost version, but there are sure to be few chuckles to be had within these 118 minutes as well.

Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, with Sean Penn, Frances McDormand, Judd Hirsch, Eve Dean Stanton, Joyce Van Patten, David Byrne, Olwen Fouere and Shea Wigham.
